Berkshire Lantern Walk at The Clark- 7 – 10 pm, Thu, Aug 15, FREE & open to all!

Step out into the summer night during the annual Berkshire Lantern Walk on Thu, Aug 15, 7-10pm. As dusk falls, take time to explore Janet Cardiff: The Forty Part Motet. At 9 pm, members of the New England Puppet Intensive (NEPI) present three site-specific performance installations with abstract, illuminated objects inspired by contemporary artist Janet Cardiff’s sound installation in the Michael Conforti Pavilion—a visual spectacle reflecting the expansive resonance of Cardiff’s audio work. With your lantern and the full moon as your guide, feel free to explore the campus, exhibition, and performances at your own pace.

A celebration of the summer night, the natural world, artistic expression, and neighbors, the Berkshire Lantern Walk is an ongoing collaboration between the Clark Art Institute and the New England Puppet Intensive.

Free and open to all.
