SB votes 4-0 to remain 1 member down as they begin to set FY27 budget priorities. They decided not to appoint an interim 5th member as allowed by MA law to serve the next 7 months until May election. Matt Neely was an appointed interim member before being elected last May to 3yr term. SB appoints Dave Westall to fill remaining term of Bob Jones seat on Board of Registrars (Republican appointment) through March 31, 2028.
Agenda includes McCann Technical roof project funding, Select Board decides a Special Town Meeting not necessary. Board member Jeff Johnson tenders his official resignation, his seat will appear on May 2026 ballot as a 1-year open seat. Select Board has yet to decide whether they will leave Johnson's seat vacant or appoint replacement for this FY 2026 session.
