Summary of the Bill:  “The bill allows a qualified, terminally ill, mentally capable adult state resident the voluntary option to request, obtain, and take medication to end their life in a peaceful, humane and dignified manner at a time and place of their choosing.”

Barbara Berenson, author of Massachusetts in the Woman Suffrage Movement: Revolutionary Reformers, will discuss the woman suffrage movement, focusing on Massachusetts suffragists on Tues, Sept 17, 4:15 pm at Williams College Griffin Hall, Room 4.

Sponsored by the Northern Berkshire Suffrage Centennial Coalition & Williams College Political Science Department, Berenson’s talk will detail how Massachusetts was at the center of the national struggle for woman suffrage.  It is part of an ongoing series of  programs commemorating the woman suffrage centennial and focusing attention on the importance of voting for our democracy.
