Faced with the pandemic, and the closure of the physical campus of the Berkshire School in Sheffield MA, rather than being defeated by COVID-19, Berkshire High Peaks Festival mounted its 11th annual festival virtually! BHPF is part of Close Encounters With Music, a chamber music performance and education organization in the Berkshires, which brings you Part 1 of their crowdsourced "Moonlight Sonata" concert.
This Berkshire High Peaks Festival virtual concert offers brilliant young participants, international faculty and alumni on an array of instruments — violin, viola, cello, guitar, voice and piano — and with varied repertoire. Our participants are performing from Italy, Argentina, Switzerland, Korea, China, Israel, Romania, Mexico, Iceland, Cayman Islands, and across the U.S. Moonlight Sonatas offer everything from Vivaldi to Villa-Lobos, Rossini and Puccini to Brahms and Boulanger.
