B’shire Botanical Garden “GROW SHOW” on Sat/Sun, August 12 & 13, 5 W. Stockbridge Rd, Stockbridge!

Floral designers & backyard gardeners are the celebrities at the Garden’s annual Grow Show on Aug. 12-13, where beautiful floral arrangements and the peak summer harvest are spotlighted in this upbeat, judged event featuring five design and nearly 80 horticulture classes on display in the Exhibition Hall.

Anyone can enter! Whether you bring a single bloom or enter every category, there is no charge to participate in the Grow Show!

The Grow Show is free with Garden admission.

Floral Design entries in this year’s Grow Show take delight in the natural world’s splendor while recognizing that beauty’s intrinsic value is its harmonization of form and purposefulness. Designers focus on guiding people to make more connections between the richness of flora and the critical role it plays in the sustainability and restoration of our environment and the human condition. Designers are asked to use sustainable design practices avoiding Oasis and using materials that can be reused or recycled.

W’town Theatre Festival invites community to “Town Hall” gathering for dialogue regarding WTF future on TUE, AUG. 1, 8:30-9:30AM at Nikos Stage in ’62 Center.

Interim Artistic Director Jenny Gersten will lead both WTF Town Halls. The gathering will be a platform for open dialogue, where the Festival will explore the questions and challenges it faces, discuss the values and priorities that drive their work, and invite your valuable input.  If you’re unable to attend the Town Halls in person, they have created an online feedback platform.  Join the discussion!!!
