Moresi & Reynolds voted onto the Prudential Committee of W’town Fire District

David Moresi garnered 137 votes to win the newly created 18-month seat on the Prudential Committee of the Fire District over Gerard Smith’s 39 votes.  Richard Reynolds received 114 votes to win the 30-month seat, over Bruce MacDonald’s 64 votes.

180 voters took part in the Fire District election which took place on Tues, Nov. 19.

Democracy Now!’s Amy Goodman will moderate the Presidential Forum on Environmental Justice   live broadcast 6-9 pm on Fri, Nov. 8 on WilliNet TV ch 1303. Senators Elizabeth Warren & Cory Booker, Tom Steyer, Marianne Williamson and other presidential candidates will take part in the forum at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg.

The forum — hosted by the National Black Caucus of State Legislators and leaders from frontline and tribal communities, civil rights, youth and environmental organizations — will include discussion on how presidential hopefuls intend to manage the impacts of the climate crisis on the communities most affected.
