B’shire Health Systems has 3 COVID-19 Testing Centers: P’field, N. Adams, Great Barrington

The BHS centers provide testing for those who are symptomatic or may have had close contact with a COVID-19-positive individual or individuals, which will be billed to the patient’s insurance. Our Centers are also now part of the state’s Stop the Spread Program, which provides no-cost testing for individuals who are asymptomatic.

The Centers are located at:

  • Pittsfield – 505 East St., St Luke’s Square, adjacent to BHS Urgent Care – Open seven days a week from 8:30 am to 4 pm
  • North Adams – 98 Church St., next to the North Adams Library – Open seven days a week from 8:30 am to 4 pm
  • Great Barrington – 475 Main St., next to the Great Barrington Police Department –Open seven days a week from 8 am to 12 pm

Requirements to be Tested: These three centers require appointments prior to testing, no walk-ins are allowed. To make an appointment, please call our COVID-19 Hotline, 855-BMC-LINK, or 855-262-5465. The hotline is typically open daily from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

 

Town Manager Hoch announced ‘separation agreement’ reached with WPD Chief Kyle Johnson.

Lt. Mike Ziemba takes over as acting Police Chief. Sgt. Scott McGowan withdraws federal suit against Johnson, Town Manager Hoch, & Town of W’town. Town to look for interim chief next month, full search for Johnson replacement in the spring. Town Manager Hoch made announcement at 12.14.20 Select Board meeting.

MGRSD School Comm. to hold back-to-back Special Sessions on Phase II Turf Field & Athletic Field Infrastructure starting at 5pm, Mon. Dec. 14

MG School Comm. is seeking public comment & input on Athletic Field Infrastructure from 5-6pm (MON, Dec 14).  Public must SIGN-UP to comment via email BEFORE 5:00pm, Sun. Dec 13 at schoolcommitttee@mgrhs.org.  “Each commenter will need to indicate if they are for or against a major investment in a new playing field at MGRS. Based on the number of participants, we will determine the length of time each may speak. We will call on one pro/one against until the hour is completed.”-MGRSD School Committee.

MG School Comm. will hear 2 presentations & ask questions at their 7pm Special Session #2.  One presentation will make the case to invest in a Turf Field. One presentation will speak to another option for Athletic Field Infrastructure improvement.
