VACANCY on W’town Planning Board: Town seeking applicants to fill vacancy from Nov-Town Election in May 2023.

Planning Board member Dante Birch has vacated his seat for remainder of his term. The seat will be filled by appointment by the Select Board and the Planning Board at a joint meeting.  Interested residents are asked to submit a Government Engagement Activity form to be considered for appointment.  Applications accepted until 11/1.

Mt. Greylock HS SEE FUND is seeking new Board Members!

The Fund for Sustaining Educational Excellence (SEE Fund) is currently seeking additional volunteer members for their Board of Governors. Participation begins with our grant season starting in November 2022 and Board members typically serve three-year terms. The SEE Fund is an endowment fund whose mission is to provide financial support for superior educational initiatives through grants. MUSIC EVENT: Eliza Edens brings live music to Store at Five Corners 6pm, FRI OCT 21.

Indie folk-rock singer-songwriter  Eliza Edens visits her hometown this Friday Oct. 21, plays at kick-off live music event at Store at Five Corners.  The cafe can hold about 50 people so advanced ticket purchase ($15) will ensure  a seat.

The four-person Eliza Edens Band will follow opening act Collect Calls, a singer-songwriter collective that includes Lily Goldberg, Jason Bascasa and Karl Mullen.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m., 4 New Ashford Road, in South Williamstown, at the intersection of state Route 43 and U.S. Route 7. Edens is backed by Nate Sabat on bass, Addie Vogt on drums and Dex Wolfe on guitar and lap steel.

“Fall Festival of Shakespeare” to be broadcast/streamed live! Volunteers for camera crew needed! Productions run Nov 17-20 at Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox.

Community Television for Southern Berkshires (CTSB) needs volunteers to crew five (5) positions for each of eleven (11) performances:  camera (x3), audio (x1), and script reader (x1). Feel free to sign up for as many performances as you’d like.

Fall Festival of Shakespeare is a residency program at 11 high schools in Massachusetts and neighboring New York. Shakespeare & Company directing teams lead students at each school through a language-based exploration of different Shakespeare plays, culminating in full-scale productions at their own schools and then on the main stage at the Tina Packer Playhouse in Lenox.
