Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation local GRANT opportunities– DEADLINE April 15, 2022.

The Fund for Williamstown  awards grants up to $5,000. Nonprofits & community organizations can apply who serve Williamstown residents &  families. Grants provide flexible resources to support innovative new and existing projects and programs that promote healthy social, emotional, and physical development, as well as funding for human services, cultural, and educational programs and environmental protection.

DEMAYO BRIGHT FUTURES INNOVATION AWARD
Deadline: April 15, 2022
Award: $1,000

The award recognizes organizations, institutions, businesses or individuals who create new approaches to solving community challenges and/or who enhance life in Williamstown through innovative programs that do not currently exist in the community.

 

Images Cinema film-screening-fundraiser for Ukraine war victims: “ATLANTIS” at 7:30pm Mon, March 28.

Made in 2019 & set in the not-too-distant future, this visionary drama depicts life in Ukraine after a Russian invasion. This event is a fundraiser to support victims of the war in Ukraine. Sliding scale admission, $5-20. Masks required.  For more info: Images Cinema.

W’town Historical Museum Presents: “The History of the W’town Grange & the Grange Hall” at 11:00am, Sat. March 26 at the Milne Library.

COVID 19 Emergency Response Fund for B’shire County offers 16 grants of $500. Deadline March 15. Application EASY!

As a THANK YOU & recognition of staff efforts, the 16 grants are to be used toward “staff well-being activities”. Grants will be disbursed quickly.The application is easy to complete.

In appreciation and acknowledgement of this dedicated service through many challenges, Berkshire United Way, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Northern Berkshire United Way, and Williamstown Community Chest have partnered to provide 16 mini grants of $500 each toward staff well-being activities. Applicants may determine the specific activities or services that will have the greatest impact on supporting their own staff. Applicants may apply only once. The application is easy to complete and grants will be disbursed quickly.

The recent Omicron surge has added to the toll the pandemic has taken on nonprofit professionals who are consistently providing direct services to our most vulnerable members of the Berkshire County community – whether in early learning classrooms, after-school programs, community health care settings, or other places where under-served communities receive critical resources and referrals.
