Dec. 11-17: Children & Teens Gift Drive! Please donate NEW unwrapped toys, crafts, books, and games to benefit Berkshire Community Action Council.

Dec. 18-24: Warm Clothes Drive! Please donate NEW coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and mittens to benefit North Adams Veterans Services..

“Holiday Shindy” on Sat, Dec. 11, 10am-5pm, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pittsfield

A magical tradition, the Shindy showcases regional artisan vendors. Meet & watch local farms & makers weave, sew, preserve, whittle all will be set aglow in the magical splendor of a new location, The Common Room at Zion Lutheran Church. Admission is $3 for the general public. Children under the age of 12 are free. Located at Zion Lutheran Church, 74 1st Street Pittsfield MA 01267. Hoosic River Revival invites public to COMMUNITY RIVER WALK on Sat. Nov. 6, 1-2:00pm

Explore the Hoosic River’s North Branch, in the area of Union & Canal Streets in N. Adams. We start at the Canal Street parking lot across from HiLo/Parlor Cafe. The walk is a rain or shine event. The short walk will follow the route of the Hoosic River and will include a conversation about the river’s history, the flood chutes, the health of the river, and ideas for its revival.

The goal of the Hoosic River Revival is to reconnect our residents and our beautiful river by updating our 1950s flood control system with new engineering. At the same time this new design will make the river an attribute for recreation, economic development, and community building.

Please join us for a fun, family walk along the river!
