The Conservation Commission met on June 23, 2022. On the agenda were petitions from Scott Campbell, 30 Sunset Dr. and Ann Rathburn, 893 New Ashford Rd.
Architect Hicks Stone presents proposed plans for developing "high-thermal-performance-passive-house-net-zero-housing" - 11 units of "2-family duplex cottages" on Alex Carlisle's Grange property. Plans allot 6 of the total 22 units as affordable housing as per Chapter 40B state requirements.
Finance Comm. approves total of $175,000.00 Budget Transfer from Reserve Reserve Fund allowed for "extraordinary/unforeseen" reasons; $41,834.95 for McGowan legal fees, WPD investigative review above and beyond "normal" expenditures. Finance Comm. & Select Board meet jointly & approve Year End Budget Transfer of $159,000.00 to cover Interim Town Manager salary FY22; McGowen legal fees & investigative services WPD; KP Law public record requests.
Stephanie Boyd takes over as committee Chair. 2-hour meeting discusses goals for next year. Citizen comment about language of wanting to "increase density" and "keep Williamstown the same." Next meeting off-cycle- 7pm, Tue, July 26.
